friend: yeah, true. too bad you can't keep them tiny and cute
friend: my cousin and i decided over xmas that we're going to get a monkey and have joint custody of it
friend: i'll take it for a month, then she can have it
friend: but kev told me no
me: my brother in law when he lived in sierra leone had two monkeys
friend: no way!!! that's freaking awesome
me: yeah they were tied to a tree in his back yard on leashes that would allow them to run around the entire area
friend: that's so cool! you should get a picture of that if he has one and send it to me
friend: i don't know why, but i think monkeys are the coolest
friend: i'd settle for a dog, though
me: yeah, you think monkeys are cool until they fling poop at you

friend: i totally looked up the info about that breed
friend: because of the cuteness
friend: and it wouldn't work so well with our cat

friend: miniature australian shepherd
friend: they require LOTS of exercise and since they used to be "working" dogs, protect their owners
friend: which is good, except that my cat is territorial
friend: i need a pansy dog
me: the cat would end up dead i am sure

friend: i actually got kev to like that dog so i'm not going to tell him you said that
